The last of winter basketball has ended with the last game of the season Monday night. I’ve posted photos from four of the games and the final trophy ceremony.
Hayley had a good time and preserved through some cheesy anti-girl comments from two boys on her team – just kids stuff. She played with 7-8-9 year old boys (we saw one only other girl in the league), some of which were much bigger than her. Her high game was 10 points!

I spent hours and hours scanning in photos from my mom’s photo albums for a print project for her birthday – which is today (Happy Birthday Mom!). After I finished it, I uploaded them all here. Link to the full gallery on the bottom of the page.

I made two sets of sports brushes for football and one for basketball. They are done in Photoshop 7 hence .abr files with image pack included (single images, not one big sheet).
These are not original works of art but some are edited and it took some work, but they are still just brushes I like to use for sports stuff. They are a mix of big and small as well, the image after the cut is just a preview.

Rey threw down one of the most vicious dunks I’ve seen this season during the N.C. State butt kicking UNC did on Wednesday night. I’ve seen better dunks but not one that actually humiliated someone else so much.
Oh that was so sweet and so are these photos and video.
Sleepover with two seven year olds – insane but it got better during the day.
I took Hayley and her friend to the TV station I used to work at for a tour from my old boss John who is head of interactive media. It was awesome! We got to watch a live broadcast from the level above it. Hayley got to meet her favorite news person meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner (she LOVES her).
We saw how a story develops from the news desk to the room where reporters assign stories, editing bay, master control extra sets and all sorts of things. Completely awesome for the kids.
Hayley and her friend got to sit at desk on the 2nd set and Hayley was like a natural! It was nutty, she just started broadcasting like a pro… you can tell this kid has watched a lot of news!!!! She was so poised, John and I just stood there with our mouths open!
Then the kids went nuts on the fountain outside – thank goodness they could run around and get the willies out. So we had a blast there.
Then we went to Bullwinkles for games and lunch. I hit the bonus on a game and won 212 tickets on one token! And Hayley actually won a stuffed animal on one of those crane games – unbelievable!
We came home, played lacrosse and they goofed off with bikes, scooters and green machine. I want to pass out for about 1,000 hours.

Hayley had so much fun as a ballgirl at the UNC-GaTech women’s basketball game. Photos from the locker room, game, being a ball girl, post game, etc. Great experience with the #1 team in the country!
