Brushes: Football and Basketball

0

I made two sets of sports brushes for football and one for basketball. They are done in Photoshop 7 hence .abr files with image pack included (single images, not one big sheet).

These are not original works of art but some are edited and it took some work, but they are still just brushes I like to use for sports stuff. They are a mix of big and small as well, the image after the cut is just a preview.

Basketball (1.3MB)

Don’t combine them in another set. Credits are lovely but not necessary.

Photos/Video: Reyshawn Terry posterizes Brackman

0

Rey threw down one of the most vicious dunks I’ve seen this season during the N.C. State butt kicking UNC did on Wednesday night. I’ve seen better dunks but not one that actually humiliated someone else so much.

Oh that was so sweet and so are these photos and video.

Photo Gallery: Blacksburg trip for UNC-VT women’s game

Of course my mighty Heels won the women’s basketball game but that was just part of the fun trip up to Blacksburg.

Ton of photos from the game, before the game and playing in the snow.

Photos from Christmas Eve next door at the Renfroes. This is the second year we’ve done this. Everyone just brings over some food and we snack away!

The kids are Hayley, Mason and Ethan, who are Wes and Jen’s, Joel who is John and Dawn’s son and Oleg who is Nancy and Mike’s son.

Photos: Hayley over at GSK Tourney as ballgirl & with my friends

0

As many of you know, I’m the media director at the GlaxoSmithKline Invitational basketball tournament. Three days of awesome hoops at Reynolds in Raleigh.

Hayley came over and was ballgirl for about half the games. Then after the final night of play, to the consternation of the N.C. State staff, we all went out and shoot hoops. While none of us were State fans (me, Hayley and Alex are UNC fans, Bryan a UVA fan), it was an honorable old court worthy of a few photos of us playing on it. Of course, Hayley stomped on all the State stuff on the floor, which was awesome…

Photos: Gingerbread House bites the dust

0

My brother-in-law Jay and I established a new family holiday tradition with gingerbread.

Hayley and I got a gingerbread kit and on Christmas Eve, we put it all together. It was fun but mostly because we did it together. We nibbled some on it that night and Christmas day but we realized most of us don’t like gingerbread that much.

After some jokes, Jay and I got the bright idea to take one of the remote control cars and smash it up. I don’t think anyone thought we meant it but we did. Hayley loves playing with Jay and their remote control cars, especially one named ‘Purple’.
So Purple’s battery was charged and the gingerbread house was brought outside

My new adoption blog for wral.com (updated URL)

0

I used to work for WRAL in their new media group. I really enjoyed being over there and the people involved. I noticed over the year that they have been adding blogs to their website – they have employees writing baby blogs, weather blogs, tech blogs, etc.

Recently I saw they have added a non-staffer blog – Dave Glenn doing an ACC sports blog and it hit me like a TON of bricks. I should do an adoption blog there.

So I drafted a proposal and they were intrigued enough to agree to let me do it. They got it started right quick and I was so excited I had tweak right then and there.

So if you check wral.com, wral.com/family/ or wral.com/interactive/ you’ll see that all three pages have mentions of WRAL’s new adoption blog, done by ME!!

NEW URL: The direct address is http://html.wral.com/sh/blogger/wraladoption.html

This is a TV station website that reaches 1.2 million people a month. 32 million page views a month. I’m so excited and I really feel like I can share and help people!!!!

Photo Gallery: Aunt Angie & cousin Clair visit

0

Hayley was blessed to have a wonderful foster family who we welcome now as part of our family. Her now ‘Aunt’ Angie and cousin Clair came down to visit and to go see the Polar Express on the IMAX screen in 3D.

We had a great time and hope this is the first of many good visits as the years go by. Since Jeff nor I come from huge families, we are thrilled to have such kind people a part of our world. We want Hayley to understand that people from her past don’t all go away.

Photo Gallery: Incredibles on Ice

We went to The Incredibles Disney adventure on Ice last night and it was lots of fun. We were in row C right on the end of the aisle at the opening to the floor so we could see everything so well. Hayley was enthralled even if it was one big 2 hour commercial for Disneyland.
